It is better to have loved

Yesterday morning was a trip to the vet for a suspected bowl compaction. X-rays confirmed this.

They also showed up a far more serious problem. Beautiful Sacha's diagnosis was not good and a difficult decision had to be made.

It is the hardest thing to be responsible for another life, but at 15 and half I chose not to put Sacha through chemotherapy.

Sacha now now permanently resides under her favourite bush.

I am taking a blogging break for a few days and will be back next week.

    1. Well the Vet asked if we wanted to bring her home so I'm assuming it is legal here.

  9. What a beautiful puss and so sorry for your loss, I hope you have lots of happy memories of her. We lost one of our cats in 2012 and she was only 1, it's heartbreaking to lose a pet xx #animaltales

    1. It's never easy, but there was no question as to if it was the right decision or not.

    1. Thank you Lisa. I'm sorry to be responding so late. It was hard to reply to everyone and I needed a bit of time. I'm sorry to hear about your brother's pet too.

  13. So sorry. We had to do the same for our 15-and-a-half-year-old Sasha almost a year ago (bowel cancer). She's buried in the sunny spot in the garden under a miniature red rose bush our neighbour gave us.

    1. It's still hard for me to come back and see this post. I bet that rose bush of yours is all the brighter with Sasha's memories shining through.
