Purfylle: Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank You!

Thanksgiving isn't something we celebrate here in Australia, however many of my blogging buddies do celebrate Thanksgiving and it seems like today is the perfect day to thank all of you for how much you have helped me find my blogging feet.

Firstly I want to start with thanking some of my mentors

Dana White aka Nony of A Slob Comes Clean helped me to realise I needed to get my home under control if I ever wanted to feel in control of the other areas of my life. Dana also helped me to just be honest with you all about how much decluttering my life needed. If it hadn't been for her own fearless approach to sharing her story I would probably still be blogging once or twice a month about almost nothing while I frantically tried to accomplish everything and getting nowhere fast.

I also want to say a huge thank you to Kelli & Crystal of Learn to Blog Hangouts. You guys rock! I have learnt so much about blogging from your hangouts and it's all been within my non-existent budget. I've still got a lot to learn and a lot to do but I'm at least heading in the right direction now.

Next I want to thank the best blogging buddy and collaborator ever...

Sarah of Sarah Celebrates

Without Sarah there would be no Two Uses Tuesday or Pinbellish linky parties with their fun tip of the week and pin trivia.

Sarah helps keep me focused on my goals and reaching for new ones, she helps keep me organised and on time. Sarah is definitely the organised part of our duo and without her great ability at maintaining lists and spreadsheets and documents, things wouldn't get off the ground nearly so often as they do. Sarah celebrates all of my accomplishments and commiserates my back slides, and I hers, we learn so much from each other. Blogging simply wouldn't be the same without Sarah. Every blogger needs a good blogging buddy, only another blogger can truly appreciate blogging milestones and achievements.

I also want to thank:

Gina from Gina's Craft Corner. Gina is the first blogger I met online and my oldest blogging buddy. Gina offered me my first guest posting opportunity and introduced me to many other bloggers.

Robin from ReDo It Yourself Inspirations who sates my vintage and upcycle urges without actually having to risk going to a collectables store.

Allie from Crafty Allie for my very first Linky Party co-hosting experience with her OurFavourite Things Pinterest Pin Party.

Millie and Kristina from 2Crochet Hooks for all of your encouragement, laughter and fairy inspiration.

Jen from Pierced Wonderings for helping make me a better photographer and allowing me to share with 'Photo Friday' every week.

Agatha from Green Issues by Agy for encouraging me to live a life less wasteful and for my very first Blog Hop experience.

Rosie of Eco-Gites of Lenault for all the wonderful Animal Tales!

Mel from Purpleslobinrecovery for cheering on all my decluttering efforts.

Marie from Code it Pretty, although I found your blog too late, I am ever grateful you have left if up so I can continue to learn.

Darren from One Dad 3 Girls for hosting 'My Sunday Photo' it is the reason I post on a Sunday.

And there are just so, so, soooo many more of you to thank too!

I nearly didn't write this post because I was worried I would forget someone, so if I haven't mentioned you please don't think for one second it's because I'm not grateful. There are so many of you I haven't listed today that have been so amazing, please know that I'm thanking you too.

My family and friends already know how thankful I am to them all so I will spare you another huge long list that will end with me thanking my pets for all their love and purfylling my every day. However I do want to extend a special thank you to one of you (you know who you are) for your endless help with code and transferring Purfylle a dot com and all the help you are yet to give too.

And lastly, but definitely not least, I want to thank YOU, my readers, for listening to my ramblings and reading Purfylle despite my haphazard blogging topics and constant changes to the blog layout as I figure out how everything works and learn to do it better.

You all may have realised by now that I am more of a fan of being behind the lens instead of in front of it and that you don't really get to see who the woman behind the Purfylle blog is very often so if you've read this far, I've put together a few images to help put a few expressions to the name.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  2. Hi Stella! Thanks for showing us you! Thank you for mentioning me! {Blush}
Wow! I feel honored. I love your leader, is she a prez or a prime minister, I always get confused, but I love her "love or leave it" leadership style!
    And I love you!

  3. I always (!) love to the face behind a name. Thank you.
And yes, giving thanks knows no boundaries and we should do it more often (just to be certain, I am talking about the actual thanks, not the feast taking place here in the US, although that is fun, too - once in a year :))

    1. You're right, we really should give thanks more often! Although I see no harm in feasting when we do =)

  4. OMG! I love you and your face! We need to see more of it. That's it... both of us need to get our face in front of the camera more in 2016. Putting it on the goal sheet! Thank you for being the best blogging buddy! I may have thrown in the towel by now if I didn't have you to keep me going
