The Secret To Awesome Last Minute Gifts

What if you don't have time to make Christmas gifts?
What if you just don't want to add to the clutter?
What if you're stuck at work and can't go gift shopping?

What then? It's to late to buy online gifts and have them delivered by Christmas. Should you get yet another gift-card? Gift-cards are fine but they can get a little stale year after year, there's nothing memorable about a gift-card gift.

I'll let you in on a little secret.

There is a gift you can give that won't take oodles of time to make.
A gift that won't add to the clutter.
A gift that won't take any time to put together at all.
A gift that is thoughtful and personal.

What is it? What gift could possibly meet that brief?

The Secret To Awesome Last Minute Gifts?

An experience! Give the gift of experience.

I don't remember many of the gifts I was given as a child, I quickly moved onto newer things, but one I do remember very clearly was going to see a play. I had never been a fan of The Wizard of Oz story however that play was the first time I had ever seen a live performance and I was enthralled! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and it remains one of those highlighted memories.

In highschool I was gifted a class on how to make raffia hats. The friend who gave me the gift did the class with me. We had the most amazing fun doing that class together!

Now the shoe is on the other foot and we're the ones gifting fun stuff. Day's at the zoo, glass bottom boat rides, chocolate platter lunches (I really enjoyed that chocolate platter too).

Choosing the right Experience Gift is easier then you might think.

You just have to take a moment to think about all the things your loved one has said 'One day...' in front of.

One day I'll see the circus.
One day I'll *learn to crochet.
One day I'll go bungee jumping.
One day I'll *learn how to use my digital camera.
Grevillea tenuiflora (Lindl.) Meisn. Tassel Grevillea

One day I'll make that jacket with my beautiful green tweed hidden in my stash.
Black and white ruffed lemurOne day I'll get to see a lemurs up close and personal.
One day I'll *learn to make my own pattern.
One day I'll do a river cruise.
One day I'll *learn to paint.
One day I'll do winery tour.
One day I'll *learn to make jewellery.
One day I'll see Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Cats' at the theatre.
One day I'll.........

Give them that 'One day...'  experience. Take that dream and make it come true!

Or perhaps it's time to give yourself that 'One day...'  experience. What is your 'One day...' ?
