Ruffler Foot Made Sew Easy It's Hands Free!

If you've ever used a ruffler foot you will know you need to guide your fabric carefully.

I've been making a Victorian Gown. That means lots of ruffley goodness. I have about 150 meters of ribbon I'm using on this project most of which I've been pleating using my sewing machines ruffler foot.
Carefully guiding that much yardage through would drive me insane!

I needed a way to make it easy and fast without needing a lot of concentration.

I needed to automate guiding that ribbon through.

It's so easy and simple and effective I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier.

Just toss it already!

decluttering paper bags over a decade and half old
Do you keep stuff long past when you should have? Paper bags are useful, they really truly are.

But at some point it is no longer sensible to keep them. Recognising when to toss them should be easy, right? Right?

Apparently not. Two of these bags have dates on them for 1998 and 1999.

I tossed them all and yet there was a part of me that still said 'Surley you should keep that limited edition Jean Paul Gaultier Valentines Day bag'?

Yeah, I told the voice to go jump and crumpled that bag up first!

Have you kept something for over a decade (and a half) that you should've just thrown out?

  1. I don't think I have anything that's been here that long that I don't have a reason to still have, but this upcoming move has me donating and tossing out a lot of stuff. That's actually what I'm doing today.

    1. Well I guess I wouldn't have kept them quite that long either if I'd looked in my storage room a little more regularly, I used to move quite a bit in my 20's and it really makes you consider what you could be bothered packing. I hope your move goes well!

  2. I keep weird stuff as well! I have so many paper bags and empty makeup containers!

    1. I recently got rid of all the empty makeup containers too!
