Ruffler Foot Made Sew Easy It's Hands Free!

If you've ever used a ruffler foot you will know you need to guide your fabric carefully.

I've been making a Victorian Gown. That means lots of ruffley goodness. I have about 150 meters of ribbon I'm using on this project most of which I've been pleating using my sewing machines ruffler foot.
Carefully guiding that much yardage through would drive me insane!

I needed a way to make it easy and fast without needing a lot of concentration.

I needed to automate guiding that ribbon through.

It's so easy and simple and effective I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier.

Lost?

I'm sure I was going to write about something incredibly interesting to share with you today.

Instead I got lost in the sewing room creating for the HSM March stash busting challenge.

Here's a sneak peak.

The image above is the fashion fabric. The one below is the lining fabric.

It feels good to be sewing. What do you do like to get lost doing?

  1. Oooh, it can be sewing or even writing. Sometimes, even just thinking about what to create next!

    1. It's probably too working class for Mr Selfridge to put on display, but perhaps the gown to go with it will be more Selfridge worthy - I guess I'll have to watch to really now :o) I hope you get some great sewing projects done when you have the chance :o)
