When I first took up crochet I didn't have any stitch markers, I didn't even know stitch markers existed. It wasn't long before I knew about them and I learnt the value of using stitch markers, aka stitch savers. That first frustrating experience of when a project accidentally unravels because there's nothing holding onto the stitch to stop it coming undone or your crochet circle grows in ways it isn't supposed to and the worth of this tiny tool became obvious very quickly. But there are so many styles of stitch marker to choose from, locking, circle, coil-less, plastic, safety pins, thread, 3D printed... does it really make a difference which one you use? Is it just how pretty they are? I walk you through a dozen different stitch markers from items you have lying around your home to the fancy artisan styles. I share with you what features to look for and those that don't really hold up to the task.

I love Freki's high standards. The pawing at limbs part had me laughing because I know that one all too well. Not to play ball but to share food. Does Freki have a food contract? He seems like a very cool guy. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHe sure does, the food section is as long as a dog's hind leg! This post was going to be all of the contract then I realised that there were just too many t&c's to include in one post, ( I think he's snuck a few extra's in over time)
DeleteWhat a great post! - It really made me smile! I'm visiting from Totally Terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Angie
PS I also wanted to invite you to hop on board the Great Blog Train (blog hop) & travel with us to Columbus Ohio: http://www.godsgrowinggarden.com/2015/03/the-great-blog-train-27-giveaway.html
I'll hop over to check out the train! Thanks for the invite
DeleteLOL - Freki likes a bit of ball chasing then?!
ReplyDeleteHarry does too but tends to get distracted and wanders off without returning the ball. Saari in comparison has one ball clause:
Saari's Ball Clause - YOU threw it, YOU go and get it. She really does not get ball throwing :)
Many thanks for joining in with #AnimalTales - looking forward to reading more of the T&Cs soon!
*chuckle* Geri and Saari seem to have the same view of ball throwing.
DeleteLove the photo at 2.4, Stella has similar rules apart from weather...any rain at all and I'm allowed a break from ball play! :)
ReplyDeleteI nearly didn't add that shot! Thanks Lisa. Geri won't go out in the rain either but Freki doesn't seem to notice with his heavy coat.
DeleteAsh the Dog says - Freki - you truly are a legal genius. If ever I need some advice with regards to how to keep my forever family retaining their end of our contract, I'll definitely be in touch! #animaltales
ReplyDeleteAsh, just give me a yelp any time. I'd be waggy to help. Sniff, Freki.
DeleteWonderful post and I will tweet it~
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo cute! I don't have enough paper to print out the contract my two little spoiled adopted doggies would like...LOL :) Thanks for sharing at Totally Terrific Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteElectronic versions are all that's possible here too or we would be responsible for the devastation of an entire forest!
DeleteLOL what a great post! Thanks for sharing on Monday Madness Link Party :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon :o)
