If you've ever used a ruffler foot you will know you need to guide your fabric carefully.
I've been making a Victorian Gown. That means lots of ruffley goodness. I have about 150 meters of ribbon I'm using on this project most of which I've been pleating using my sewing machines ruffler foot.
Carefully guiding that much yardage through would drive me insane!
I needed a way to make it easy and fast without needing a lot of concentration.
I needed to automate guiding that ribbon through.
It's so easy and simple and effective I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier.

Trees are indeed very beautiful especially in the right light, great photos
ReplyDeleteTrees are a little bit magical I think, they are different every where you go too.
DeleteIt certainly does change my view.
ReplyDeleteI've been pointing out various things to my family on a regular basis. Things that they just wouldn't have seen and it's quite rewarding when they now point something out to me!
I adore trees and your photo's are a great collection.
Enjoy your Sunday
I think that is the best thing about photography, seeing all these little things, but being able to share them is even better.
DeleteBeautiful photos, it's hard to pick a favourite. Trees make such an interesting subject
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
I thought you might all be sick of the birds and enjoy a bit of scenery for a change.
DeleteSerene countryside, so soothing for the soul!

It truly is good for the soul. I don't think I would survive if I lived too far away from a bit of nature.
DeleteStunning scenery. I want to go on this walk! You are right, sometimes scenery looks very different through a lens. #MySUndayPhoto
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice enough walk but I've got a few others I'd recommend first.
DeleteBeautiful photos, a walk along the river is always so relaxing. Thank you for your kind words too! - Tasha
ReplyDeleteWe are so lucky to have a river close by for regular relaxing walks, this river however is a far way from us and we'd never been before. It was lovely to see a river that was so different from our local one.
DeleteThis river gives my chills. I love how twisted the trees are. They gave me that churning and turning in my stomach feelings. Great photos. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so used to the crazy way our trees grow I forget what they could look like to others.
DeleteWhat creepy looking trees! Very beautiful but still a bit scary looking with all their twisted branches! #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteSo lucky I got this post up around Halloween then!
DeleteGreat series of images, love all the twisty trees

Thanks Molly =)
DeleteLooks like a great spot for a quite day of fishing. Very nice shots!
ReplyDeleteI see things I normally wouldn't notice when I have a camera in hand. Not only that... I often find even more when reviewing the photos. A glint of light or a shadow can add character that's lost with the eyes.

I think it's the framing and removal of all the distraction of the rest of the world that allows us to see more when reviewing. Or maybe it's just being able to take the time.
DeleteVery beautiful photography. Thank you for sharing this area of the country.
ReplyDeleteIsn't if funny how you see things differently when you plan to photograph them? to look at unusual things at different angles? to see light and colors? It's pretty cool! Oh...and that crochet hook I use...It's a holder that I got from Walmart for $7 and something. It has rings to place around different sizes of hooks then fit into the holder. I have carpal tunnel and this makes creating much easier!
