If you've ever used a ruffler foot you will know you need to guide your fabric carefully.
I've been making a Victorian Gown. That means lots of ruffley goodness. I have about 150 meters of ribbon I'm using on this project most of which I've been pleating using my sewing machines ruffler foot.
Carefully guiding that much yardage through would drive me insane!
I needed a way to make it easy and fast without needing a lot of concentration.
I needed to automate guiding that ribbon through.
It's so easy and simple and effective I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier.

Aren't they fascinating birds? I used to be really wary of them (superstitious) but ever since I moved here there is at least one, sometimes two on a good day, outside. Our ones are very naughty and fight with the blackbirds. Ours also have more blue in them. Great capture :) PS Sorry if you have this comment twice, something went wrong the first time. #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteI love their song, and the blue is more prominent during mating season and is even more visible in UV. Cool huh?
DeleteOh, and our magpies aren't corvid's like yours, they're actually more closely related to butcher birds.
DeleteThey're very clever birds. I love the capture of the one with a bug! Great shots!

He was a bit worried I might try and steal it I think.
DeletePretty bird!
ReplyDeleteWhy are all the females so much more drab???
The young and females need the better camouflage to protect the babies from being stolen by predators.
DeleteThey are amazing. I always love the sound that they make =)
