If you've ever used a ruffler foot you will know you need to guide your fabric carefully.
I've been making a Victorian Gown. That means lots of ruffley goodness. I have about 150 meters of ribbon I'm using on this project most of which I've been pleating using my sewing machines ruffler foot.
Carefully guiding that much yardage through would drive me insane!
I needed a way to make it easy and fast without needing a lot of concentration.
I needed to automate guiding that ribbon through.
It's so easy and simple and effective I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier.

That purple flower is so cool!
ReplyDeleteIsopogon dubius I think. They are even cooler in person.
DeleteWow, these photos are lovely and very detailed for a phone shot. Love the contrast of the yellow flower!
ReplyDeleteMy new phone takes amazing pics. I've never had such a great phone camera before.
DeleteI love the different colours and pretty flowers
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
I'll have to head back out and try to get some proper shots.
DeleteHi Stella, it's a pain when gadgets stop working like we expect them too, but at least these days we have more gadgets to fall back on (I'm waiting for the day mobile phones can wash dishes, then I know I really do have a smart phone!).
ReplyDeleteYour flowers look very different to ours. Photo number three looks interesting and number four looks very much like what I would call a thistle (but I am no expert!).
Hope your Netbook starts playing nice this week!
xx
I'm sure you could already have your phone message your dishwasher to press go. O_o Crazy.
DeletePhotos 1, 2 and 3 are actually the same plant. We have strange plants here in Australia.
Very pretty indeed :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have anamazing phone! The shots are clear. My phone can never do this =P #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteMy had my last phone for over 5 years and for my last birthday the whole family pitched in to get me this one. It's camera is just unbelievable.
DeleteOoo, thank you for a lovely glimpse at some nature! Sorry that your netbook took a break (horrible pun intended), but your phone takes great shots.
ReplyDeleteHaha - it just ran out of memory while I was trying to edit shots in DPP and I ran out of time so I just had to go with what I had.
DeleteStella, HOW do u get such wonderful shots on a phone:??? It can't be that you're a real photographer, and I'm not! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy phone is amazing at taking photos. I am ever so grateful that a whole lot of things came together at the same time (birthday gifts, post X-mas sales, new version being released so extra discount on the old version) that allowed me to get this phone when I needed it the most.
DeleteBeautiful shots here Stella, I love the different colours and the shapes of the petals. - Tasha
ReplyDeleteThanks Tasha, I was wishing I had my DSLR with me. I don't always take it when we walk the dogs and invariably they are the days I wish I had.
DeleteWhat beautiful flowers Stella. I don't know what a netbook is I just know beauty when I see it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary. A netbook is like a tablet with a keyboard, or a 3/4 size laptop. It's not a real grown-up computer but it's what I've got.
Delete(My phone is more powerful in computing terms)
