Wildlife Snuggery Crochet Hanging Basket

Meet Leilani a Possum in the care of Kinjarling Marsupial Rescue.  When this Snuggery was hung in her enclosure Leilani was quick to snuggle up in it and that is how these crochet hanging baskets came to be called a "Snuggery".

My Decluttering Adventures

Decluttering - Where To Start?

Getting started with decluttering can be totally overwhelming. The decluttering experts will tell you again and again to "Start with the easy stuff".

But what is the easy stuff?

1. Don't pull everything out
I regularly see recommendations to pull everything out so you can see all of your stuff and then only put back the things you are going to keep.

Don't touch it! Don't even look at it

When you've decluttered something it's important not touch it again.

Don't even look at it!

Focus On The Little Things

One thing that I've learnt about decluttering is that all the little things do add up.

Even if those little things don't seem like they would make any difference on their own, they make a difference.

You know that saying 'look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves'? It's the same with decluttering.

''All the Stuff" - clutter is stealing my craft time.

I was overwhelmed with clutter. There was so much cleaning and sorting that had to be done I struggled with how to face it. I had to clean and sort every time I wanted to craft. Eventually I said 'Enough!' and begun to de-clutter. I've learned a lot about de-cluttering since I began to tackle 'All The Stuff'. So here are some things I wish I knew when I first began the de-cluttering process.

A cleaning schedule?

I'm not a minimalist

Ever since we moved into this old house I've struggled to keep it presentable under control and it just got worse over time.
